Day 1 – Local departure then onwards to Belgium or northern France for an overnight stay.
Day 2 – Continue south to Lake Garda for a 6-night stay. B,D
Day 3 – Winetasting (optional). After a leisurely morning, join our optional afternoon excursion to sample the local wines in one of the local cantinas. Enjoy a glass of the local wine together with home-made bread, mountain cheese, local ‘speck’ ham and biscuits. Also, today you can enjoy an optional cruise on Lake Garda. B,D
Day 4 – Venice (included). A wonderful excursion to Venice, the largest city in the Veneto area. Enjoy the famous sights, including the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square and the Doges’ Palace. Whilst in Venice, enjoy an optional Lagoon Cruise. For a different view over St. Mark’s Square, we sail past the Giudecca Island and Lido seaside resort, made famous by the International Film Festival.B,D
Day 5 – Lake Garda including boat trip (optional). We will stop at some of the most picturesque villages on Lake Garda, including the gem of the peninsula, Sirmione, from where we take a private boat to Gardone, on the way passing the private island of Garda, with its Venetian Villa. B,D
Day 6 – Free day on Lake Garda. B,D
Day 7 – Verona (included). The home of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and one of Italy’s most ancient cities. On our optional guided walking tour the many charms of the city will be brought to life. Admire the 1st-century Arena, home to the prestigious Verona Opera Festival, which dominates the main square. Verona boasts an abundance of fine palaces, churches and monuments, which adorn its alleyways and squares. Our informative guide will reveal many of the fascinating stories behind the history of the buildings and personalities, allowing you to appreciate to the full the charming nature of this fine old historic town. B,D
Day 8 – To Belgium or northern France for an overnight stay. B
Day 9 – To Calais then return home. B

Day 2 – We break our journey south to Lake Garda with an overnight stay in central Germany, calling at the Rhine Valley en route. B,D
Day 3 – En route to Lake Garda we call into Innsbruck, the capital of the Austrian Tirol, before reaching Lake Garda for a 6-night stay. B,D

Accommodation
The 9 Day Executive coaches will stay for six nights at the 3-star Hotel Bristol in Riva del Garda. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lift and outdoor swimming pool. All bedrooms have T.V., telephone, hairdryer and safe.
The 11 Day Executive coach, 9 Day Silver Service and 11 Day Silver Service coaches will stay at the 3-star Hotel Royal in Riva del Garda, only 250 metres from the lake, and a 10-15 minute walk along the lakeside from Riva. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lift, outdoor swimming pool and sun terrace and all meals are buffet-style. All bedrooms have T.V. and telephone.
Overnight stays in Belgium and northern France will be in city-style hotels.
For 2009, we are delighted to be able to offer the opportunity for you to upgrade to the 4-star Hotel Oasi in Rival del Garda, situated only two minutes walk from the Hotel Royal. Instead of spending six nights at the Hotel Royal, you will spend six nights at the Hotel Oasi.
The 4-star Hotel Oasi, completely renovated in 2007, enjoys a superb position with views towards the lake and is only 10-15 minute walk from the town centre. All bedrooms are tastefully furnished with balcony, satellite T.V., minibar, telephone and safe. Relax in the restaurant, serving local and international cuisine and enjoy a drink in the adjacent bar and lounge. The hotel boasts a superb wellness centre with indoor swimming pool with whirlpool, sauna and Turkish bath.
The upgrade is available on selected dates on the 9-day Silver Service holiday.
Please Note:
9 Day Silver Service September 12 departure and 11 Day Silver Service June 18 departure will stay at the 4-star Hotel Oasi or similar in Riva del Garda. Due to demand, other hotels of a similar standard in resorts such as Riva del Garda, Torbole sul Garda and Malcesine may sometimes be used. You will be advised prior to departure the name and details of your hotel, should it differ from those described.
