As we drive through the 'Garden of Ireland' the renowned scenery of County Wicklow unfolds before you from rolling mountains, cascading waterfalls and wooded glens to picturesque towns and villages. DAY 1 LONDON • DUBLIN
We begin with Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service™ to London Gatwick Airport and your direct scheduled flight by British Airways, to Dublin. On arrival you will be transferred to the elegant Davenport Hotel located at Merrion Square in the heart of Georgian Dublin. This evening you are free to make your choice of a dining venue.
DAY 2 DUBLIN
After a full Irish breakfast we embark on a tour of this compact historical city, situated on the banks of the River Liffey. We see Dublin Castle dominating the old part of the town, prominent Christchurch Cathedral and Dean Swift’s (author of Gulliver’s Travels) St. Patrick’s before driving to Phoenix Park, one of the largest enclosed urban parks in Europe. The tour concludes passing by Trinity College where both Jonathan Swift and Oscar Wilde studied. The remainder of the day is at leisure to wander through Dublin’s Fair City and the fashionable streets of Grafton and O’Connell. Bewleys, the famous coffee shop is the place to unwind and take in the local atmosphere.
DAY 3 DUBLIN - CHRISTMAS EVE
Today is at leisure in this vibrant city so why not visit the famous Guinness Storehouse where the history of the famous brew can be experienced, before concluding the tour in the Gravity Bar where the drink can be sampled whilst enjoying the stunning views of the city. There are a wealth of museums and art galleries, or for those who wish, Dublin provides an attractive array of shops. Our Christmas festivities commence at the hotel with dinner followed by a mulled wine reception. For those wishing to participate in a Christmas Eve service your tour manager will have details of the local churches.
DAY 4 DUBLIN - CHRISTMAS DAY
Christmas Day begins with a delicious breakfast after which you are free to perhaps explore the real Dublin on foot, where many reminders of the past are there to be discovered. After a leisurely light lunch, relax in the comfortable ambience of your hotel. The Christmas Gala buffet dinner together with entertainment will be held in elegant style, which concludes the festivities for the day.
DAY 5 WICKLOW MOUNTAINS - BOXING DAY
Tucked away to the south of Dublin are the Wicklow Mountains providing some of the most spectacular landscapes from high rugged peaks, open moorland and verdant valleys. Today after breakfast we travel through the Wicklow Gap, the route of the medieval pilgrims’ path, after which we arrive at one of the most important monastic ruins at Glendalough. Passing through the coastal resort of Bray, one of Ireland’s oldest seaside resorts which still retains its Victorian attraction, we return to Dublin in time for dinner at the hotel.
DAY 6 DUBLIN • LONDON
After breakfast we transfer to Dublin Airport for your direct scheduled British Airways flight home. Arrival at London Gatwick Airport, where our staff will greet you and transfer you to Titan transport for your return journey to your own front door.
