How does it work?
Each soldier who died in either World War is commemorated on a memorial or has his own grave. You can trace the memorial of your family member by visiting the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website at www.cwgc.org. This will tell you where the person you are tracing is buried or commemorated. We have three itineraries designed to cover some of the major battlefield areas. When you call to book, give us the name and/or reference of the cemetery/memorial and we will advise you which of our three itineraries is appropriate, with departure dates and prices.
Ypres Pilgrimages: Cemeteries in the Ypres area and in northern France between Armentières and La Bassée, covering the battle area of Passchendaele.
Somme Pilgrimages: Cemeteries in the 1916 and 1918 Somme battlefields, plus the area between Arras and Cambrai.
Normandy Pilgrimages: Any military cemetery in the area of the 1944 Normandy battlefields.
