• Dec 21 – We break up our journey with an overnight stay in northern France.
• Dec 22 –We continue south to Italy and arrive at our hotel in Riva del Garda. Welcome drink on arrival. B,D
• Dec 23 – Trento. Excursion to the regional capital of Trento to visit its popular Christmas market. In the afternoon, we'll have the chance to join an optional winetasting at a local cantina. B,D
• Christmas Eve –Verona (included). We visit Romeo and Juliet's 'fair Verona', where a local guide will show us the highlights on an optional guided walking tour. We return to Riva to enjoy the local afternoon Christmas procession, followed by dinner and music in our hotel. B,D
• Christmas day – Lake Garda (optional). Enjoy a relaxing day with perhaps a cruise on Lake Garda Christmas Day - B,L,D or New Years Day - B,D
• Boxing Day – Venice (optional). Guided excursion to Venice, with its canals, bridges and palaces. B,D
• Dec 27 – During our journey home, we spend a night in northern France. B
• Dec 28 – We arrive in Calais for our return home. B

Your Hotels

You'll stay for five nights at the 4-star Hotel Savoy Palace, approximately 250m from Lake Garda and a 10-15 minute walk along the lakeside from the historic centre of Riva. The hotel has a restaurant, attractive bar, two lifts and an indoor swimming pool. All bedrooms have T.V., telephone and safe. Overnight stays in northern France are in city-style hotels.
