6-Day Break

• Dec 22 – Fly to Salzburg airport, where you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel in Salzburg for a five-night stay.
• Dec 23 and Christmas Eve – Salzburg Guided Sightseeing Tour (included), Salzburg Christmas Markets (included). On the morning of Dec 23, a coach and local guide will meet you after breakfast at your hotel and take you on a sightseeing tour around the town so that you can get your bearings, see the sights and learn where to find the Christmas markets. You then have two days in Salzburg to relax and explore. Perhaps the best view to be had in the Old Town is from the ramparts of the Festung Hohensalzburg. The panorama is stunning, with the Baroque towers, churches and Alpine peaks in the distance. The main Christmas markets are situated on Cathedral Square and Residence Square in the city centre, and also on Mirabell Square. On Christmas Eve, a Christmas gala dinner is included at your hotel. 2xB, 1xD
• Christmas Day – 4-Course Christmas Lunch (included). Transfer by coach to a restaurant in the Old Town for your festive meal. After the meal you are free to take a stroll back to your hotel. B, L
• Boxing Day – Salzkammergut Lakes (optional). No trip to Austria would be complete without a visit to the country’s most beautiful lakes, beginning with the crystal-clear Lake Mondsee. We then continue to the lakeside town of St. Gilgen, also seeing the Wolfgangsee. In order to guarantee your place, this excursion must be purchased at the time of booking, at a cost of £32.50 per person. B
• Dec 27 – Transfer to Salzburg airport for your return flight home. B

You’ll stay for five nights at the 4-star Renaissance Salzburg Hotel Congress Centre, conveniently located in Salzburg, only five minutes on foot from the Central Station, where buses travel frequently to the Old Town area, two kilometres away.
